About Bagpress
Bagpress was set up in 2001 with the aim promoting the technology of vacuum pressing to a much wider audience than was then the case. Whilst vacuum pressing had been around for years it was still regarded by many to be something of a 'black art'. In actual fact vacuum pressing should be seen as one of woodworkings most basic and therefore most useful techniques.

The first Bagpress product was the Pneumatic kit which runs offof compressed air and retails for £99inc. VAT. We have since developed a full range of professional systems rated at 4m3, 8m3 and 16m3 per hour. All our professional systems come with a footswitch to allow you to have both hands free as the bag is being evacuated. We have recently introduced our new clear PVC bags which measure 1350mm x 2500m and are fitted with our 'rapid evacuation' port which allows you to use a vacuum cleaner or dust extractor to remove a large volume of air before the vacuum pump pulls the hard vacuum. This is very useful when veneering or laminating large objects. We have now launched the MiniPress and MiniPress Pro which create a new entry-level price point for electric vacuum presses and are ideal for hobbyists, flat panel veneering and primary education uses.

Bagpress doesn't only sell vacuum press equipment. We also supply all the materials and consumables such as flexible plywood, thin birch plywood,adhesives, glue spreaders and mould making foam. We also offer a CNC hotwire cutting service (STYROMOULD) so that you can simply fax or email us a drawing of the mould you need and a couple of days later it will be delivered to you. This service will save you a significant amount of time and money as your workshop will no longer be taken up with the production of your vacuum press tooling.

Bagpress also offers a protoyping service and undertakes complete manufacturing jobs such as kitchen cabinet doors and drawer fronts, chair parts, structural beams, ceiling and wall panels, and many other items.
